Post Study Work Permit (PSW) in Australia

Australia Visa Guidelines

International students who plan to study in Australia must obtain a valid student visa by meeting certain eligibility criteria. To ensure a hassle-free process, students are advised to begin their application at least six weeks prior to the start of their course.

Steps for Application for Student Route:

Here are the steps for applying for an Australian study permit:

  1. Receive a conditional or full offer letter from the chosen Australian college or university.

  2. Pay the tuition fee and accept the offer letter.

  3. Receive the Electronic Certificate of Enrollment (ECOE).

  4. Complete the required documentation, which may vary depending on the student’s course and qualifications.

  5. Pay the visa application fees and obtain a TRN number. The student visa application fee is AUD 620.

  6. Await the visa outcome, which includes the visa grant number, expiry date of the visa, and visa conditions.

Note that in the case of a conditional offer, students can apply for a conditional ECOE and proceed with their visa application while waiting for their final year or semester result, as long as all other conditions are fulfilled.
